SSU athletes won eight medals in 38th World Medical and Health Games and International Sports Medicine Symposium a.k.a. Medigames in Marseille, France 2017.
As reported by Mohammad Reza Sadeh, the manager of SSU team, Dr. Soheili, Dr. Kalantar, Dr. Hoboobati, Dr. Ehtesham, Dr. HekmatiMoghadam, and Mr. Cheraghinik were SSU medalists in these games as described below. Also Dr. HekmatiMoghadam placed fourth in men’s sprint.

First started in 1978, the World Medical and Health Games is the most famous world health event for the medical and health professionals. It is an opportunity for participants of all levels to compete together in an atmosphere of friendship and excitement. Each year up to 2,000 people from over 40 countries take part in this sporting and professional gathering.
The games were held from 1st to 8th July in Marseille. On their first appearance in Medigames, SSU teams participated in badminton, table-tennis, and track and field events.
