On April 25, Semmelweis University representatives, Dr. Laszlo Hunyady Dean of Faculty of Medicine and Prof. TamasMasszi Vice-Dean of Faculty of Medicine visited SSU clinical departments including ShahidSadoughi Hospital, Yazd Reproductive Sciences Institute, and Afshar Hospital. Following the visits the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between Semmelweis University and SSU was held. In addition to the Hungarian guests, in attendance for the signing were: SSU President (Dr. Mirjalili), Director of International Relations Office (Prof. Owlia), Vice-President for Research and Technology (Dr. Mirzaei), and Dean of School of Medicine (Prof. Kalantar). This is the second MoU signed with Hungarian top medical universities and calls for collaboration in research, education, instruction, student and faculty exchange between the two universities.

Semmelweis University is the oldest medical school in Hungary, founded in 1769. The university has more than 10,000 students from all over the world with 365 Iranian students.
