Yazd Reproductive Sciences Institute virtually hosted the 9th International Congress & Student Award on Reproductive Medicine on 13-15 May 2021.
The congress was attended by speakers from the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Italy, France, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Oman and New Zealand, as well as Iranian scientists and scholars.
Dr. Nasim Tabibnejad, the scientific chairperson defined the main topics of the congress as andrology, female infertility, stem cells, embryology, regenerative medicine, nanotechnology, the role of Covid 19 in infertility, and infertility genetics.
In total, 39 international lectures and 158 posters were presented at this international congress.
Scientific lectures were held in the form of 10 scientific webinars with keynote speakers and 4 student scientific sessions.
Yazd Reproductive Sciences Institute arranges the international congress of reproductive medicine every two years and this was the first time to be held virtually.
According to Dr. Abdoli, the executive chairman of the congress, Yazd is the founder of infertility treatment and the center of excellence in infertility treatment in Iran and the Middle East and has been selected as the host of this important international event due to this valuable capacity.
With more than 30,000 babies born since 1990 and the home to the first Iranian IVF baby, Yazd Reproductive Medicine Institute is known as one of the world centers in the production of infertility treatment sciences.
