Seven faculty members from Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences (SSU) have been included in the updated 2024 list of the World’s Top 2% Scientists, published by Stanford University. In 2023, SSU had four representatives on this prestigious list, which has now increased to seven in 2024. Notably, Prof. Hossein Fallahzadeh and Dr. Amin Salehi-Abarghouei have been recognized for the second consecutive year.

According to Elsevier, the publicly available database of top-cited scientists offers standardized information on citations, H-index, co-authorship-adjusted hm-index, citations to papers based on authorship positions, and a composite indicator (c-score). The selection was made based on either inclusion among the top 100,000 scientists by c-score (with or without self-citations) or a ranking within the top 2% in their sub-field.
