As part of the cooperation agreement between Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences and Teuku Umar University, the two institutions held their second joint webinar on February 8, 2025. The event was hosted by the International Relations Office at Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences.
The webinar, titled “Opportunities and Challenges of Continuing Education in Higher Education in Indonesia,” was presented by Dr. Firman Parlindungan, Associate Professor in the Department of English Language and Culture and Head of the Curriculum and Language Development Center at Teuku Umar University.
In his presentation, Dr. Parlindungan introduced Indonesia and its higher education system, then focused on the opportunities and challenges of studying at Teuku Umar University. The session concluded with a Q&A session, followed by an exchange of information between the two universities’ schools of public health. Public health, nutrition, and occupational health are shared academic disciplines between the two universities.
