The Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine Department from School of Medicine actively participated in the 2nd International Congress on Neuromuscular Diseases, held on May 23, 2025, in Karbala, Iraq. Their contribution played a significant role in promoting scientific and professional exchange.

On the sidelines of the congress, the university’s Director of International Relations Office, Dr. Mohammad Bagher Owlia met with Dr. Haider Hamza Al-Ebadi, Director General of Health and Medical Education of the Holy Shrines, and Dr. Saleh Al-Jaberi, Director of Al-Hadi Neuromuscular Diseases Center. The meetings focused on exploring opportunities for scientific, educational, and research collaboration between the University of Medical Sciences and Iraqi medical centers.

This participation marked an important step toward enhancing the university’s international engagement and strengthening its scientific presence in the region and beyond.
