SSU had visitors from Kharkiv National Medical University (KhNMU) on 18 – 19 May 2016. The Ukrainian side including Vladimir Lesovoy, the President of KhNMU, Anzhela Stashchak the Head of International Relations Office, and Maria Lisova gynecologist visited Yazd and SSU with the aim of signing education and research agreement on cooperation programs and student and faculty exchange.
During a meeting with SSU President and Vice-Presidents, Vladimir Lesovoy appreciated University’s hospitality and welcoming staff. He described Yazd as a 3000-year-old city equipped with the technology of modern education.
Anzhela Stashchak, the Head of International Relations Office gave a brief introduction of KhNMU. Being established in 1805, KhNMU is currently serving to 9000 students in the fields of medical sciences with a 70-year experience in accepting international students.
The Ukrainian guests took a tour of SSU International Campus, visited Pediatrics, Ob/Gyn, and ICU Departments of Shahid Sadoughi Hospital as well as its educational facilities. During their visit to the first Iranian IVF Center, which is an affiliate of Yazd Research and Clinical Center for Reproductive Sciences, Vladimir Lesovoy assessed Yazd clinical and research facilities as astonishing.
