Abortion Research Center, Yazd Reproductive Sciences Institute, Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences, Yazd, Iran

In response to the needs of the Yazd Reproductive Sciences Institute, and with the aim of expanding research and providing solutions in health and medical services in the field of reproductive health and infertility, as well as contributing to solving problems in this domain and improving health services, after several years of effort and follow-up, on May 13, 2013, the Council for the Expansion of Medical Universities granted preliminary approval for the establishment of the Abortion Research Center at Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences. Subsequently, on December 18, 2016, the Council granted final approval, and the center officially commenced its activities.

This center facilitates both clinical and basic research projects in the field of infertility genetics. It is a source of great satisfaction to announce that numerous projects in various areas of infertility are presently underway, and the center’s scientific activities are well recognized at both national and international levels. Within this center, all genetic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for infertile couples are carried out from the initial stages through to treatment.
