Founded in 1935 as a clinic, Shahid Rahnemoon Hospital is one of the oldest hospitals in Yazd province. Over time, with the advancement of science and knowledge and the increasing need for specialized medical centers, the clinic was transformed to a hospital in 1942. Currently, this university hospital is one of the largest trauma, neurosurgery, and urology centers in the south and southeast of Iran.

The hospital provides the following services: urology, neurosurgery, spine surgery, general surgery, orthopedics, maxillofacial surgery, cardiology, internal medicine, dialysis, emergency services, intensive care units including four ICU wards and a CCU, cochlear implant, occupational medicine, Iranian traditional medicine, and rehabilitation. Also our specialized and subspecialized polyclinic serves the patients with ambulatory care.

Having 241 active beds and about 1000 staff, Shahid Rahnemoon Hospital is ready to provide respected patients with diagnostic and therapeutic services.
