Introduction

Scientometrics is a field of knowledge that examines the characteristics of scientific information and, based on reliable international data, studies, evaluates, and compares the scientific output of countries, organizations, and individuals. In scientometrics, statistical methods are used to determine the criteria for the growth and development of science and its impacts on different human societies. In general, scientometrics can be regarded as the science of measuring and analyzing science. The main purpose of establishing and operating this division at the university is to provide documented information and a clear picture of the published scientific output of the university’s faculty members, in order to guide the university’s scientific and research planners and policymakers.
