About us
The School of Nursing was established in 1975 as the first unit of higher education in medical sciences in Yazd. Later in 1985 the school was attached to Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences with the new title of School of Nursing and Midwifery. The aim of this school is to educate and train proficient students in the fields of nursing and midwifery. Currently, it accepts students for both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing and midwifery.

The School of Nursing and Midwifery, as one of the first schools of Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences, Yazd, aims to improve community health through the provision of appropriate educational services and the training of efficient human resources. To achieve this goal, the school will strive to adhere to precise educational standards and institutionalize human qualities, with a focus on ethical values. In carrying out this mission, the school will emphasize information technology and human resources.
