Yazd Cardiovascular Research Center, Non-Communicable Diseases Research Institute, Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences, Yazd, Iran

Established in 2000, Yazd Cardiovascular Research Center aims to generate scientific knowledge and promote advancements in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular diseases at both provincial and national levels. The center conducts research in clinical and basic sciences and has published numerous articles in reputable national and international journals.

The center includes clinics such as the Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Clinic and the High-Risk Patients Clinic, as well as a dedicated basic sciences unit. Since 2020, the center has published a scientific journal titled Cardiovascular Biomedicine, edited by Dr. Seyed Jalil Mirhosseini.

The center received in-principle approval from the Ministry of Health and Medical Education on October 20, 2006, and full approval on March 16, 2009.

To create a robust environment for conducting fundamental and applied research in cardiovascular health—focusing on prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation—by leveraging expert researchers, modern equipment, and national and international collaborations, while upholding ethical standards in research.

To become a nationally and internationally recognized center of excellence in cardiovascular research, known for leadership in scientific innovation across prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.
