In late 2024 and early 2025, interview sessions for international applicants seeking to pursue their studies at SSU were held regularly in collaboration with the International Relations Office, the Department of Education, and the International Campus. As part of recent developments at the International Campus and the university’s commitment to the internationalization of education, efforts to attract foreign students have been strengthened.
The first interview session in the new format was conducted on November 26, 2024, at the International Campus. By February 27, 2025, a total of 15 interview sessions had been held for 132 English-speaking applicants online and 5 applicants in person. Ultimately, 109 new students from Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Côte d’Ivoire were admitted to professional doctorate, PhD, master’s, and bachelor’s programs across 15 fields of study as follows:
- Professional Doctorate: Medicine, Dentistry
- Master’s and PhD Programs: Genetics, Clinical Biochemistry
- Master’s Programs: Parasitology, Immunology, Microbiology, Medical Physics, Health Care Management, Emergency Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing
- PhD Programs: Reproductive Biology, Molecular Medicine, Health Education
- Bachelor’s Program: Nursing
